First Application Setup
Create your first Application with provider and Twilio details.
What this covers
Create your first Application from /applications so SmartDialTech can use your provider and Twilio configuration for campaigns.
When to use this
Use this immediately after account verification and sign-in.
Before you start
- You can sign in to your account.
- You know which telephony provider account will own outbound calling for this workspace.
- You can access your Twilio Console to copy the Account SID and Auth Token for the same Twilio project/account.
Steps
- Open /applications , then click Create new (modal title: Add Application ).
- In the form, choose Service Provider first. As a beginner, pick the provider where your outbound numbers/credentials are actually managed.
- Choose Subscription . Pick the plan that matches your expected number of users; if only one option is visible, select the available plan and continue.
- In Twilio Console, copy Account SID from the account/project dashboard and paste it into Twilio Account SID .
- From the same Twilio account/project, copy Auth Token and paste it into Twilio Auth Token (required on create), then click Save .
- Confirm you see Application saved successfully , then verify the new Application is selectable when you start creating a campaign.
Important fields and options
Service provider
Required. Must match the provider integration you intend to use for campaign calling.
Subscription
Required. Select the plan available to your account (for example free trial vs paid tiers, depending on availability).
Twilio Account SID
Required. Expected format starts with `AC` and is typically 34 characters total.
Twilio Auth Token
Required on create. Case-sensitive secret from the same Twilio account/project as the SID.
Validation and common errors
- All four fields are required on first create; blank values will block submission.
- If SID/token are copied from different Twilio projects/accounts, setup checks can fail during save.
- If save fails with a provider/Twilio error, re-copy SID/token from the same Twilio Console account, remove extra spaces, and retry.
Notes
- Pre-campaign connectivity checks: (1) Application saved successfully appears, (2) the new Application is visible in /applications , and (3) the Application appears in Campaign create application selection.
- If the Application is saved but not selectable in campaign creation, confirm it is active and that your user has access to that Application.
